Hello!
I was handed down a Heritage book, written and published my aunt. I am a part of the Peter Mays/ Effie Bloom line. I am a part of the McCracken line>>Thomas McCracken (son of Greenwood McCracken) married Hannah Mays (daughter of Peter and Effie[Bloom]). In the book it is written that Peter was believed to have been either an Indian Chief or a decendant of an Indian Chief. Has anyone heard of this or come across any information of this? In the book, there is a picture of Hannah Mays McCracken holding her son Mark Benton McCracken(my gg-grandfather)and she does look like she could have been Indian.
