Looking for information on Samuel and Mary May(s). They are legatees of the will of William Harris probated in 1800 in Lousa County, VA., and Samuel is the administrator of the estate. Also mentioned are Esther and Micajah Harris, Elizabeth Mathews, Mary Yancey, Richard and Sarah(Yancey) Lane and Elizabeth Yancey.
Samuel's own will is probated in 1812 with wife, Mary, listed, but no children. An accounting of the estate in 1814 shows money paid to Waddy Lipscombe for making coffin and William Bibb for crying sale. Also to Charles Poindexter for "my services for going over the mountain after the doctor 3 times - 5 days each trip." Any information on Samuel and Mary would be appreciated. Thanks!
