May/ Omay of Balvicar , Seil, Scotland

The Scottish name May is a corruption of the Gealic and has nothing at all to do with the month of May. The only clusters I have found are in Kintyre and on the Isle of Seil in Argyll, Scotland. If any of you are hitting a brick wall with the Scottish Mays then try Omay as this was the name used prior to circa 1800.
