A biography of Hartwig Lund is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 1248. Parents: Ole and Mary (Osnes) Lund. Of the four boys and two girls, Hartwig is the only one who emigrated to the US. He came to Miles City, MT, 22 Feb 1886.
On 25 Dec 1893, Miles City, MT, Hartwig married Miss Sophie Leskela, born 1875, Helsingors, Finland, and came alone to Montana in 1892. She died 26 Oct 1918. Lund children: George Albert, Fallon, MT; Olga Marie; Elmer Edwin, Leo, John William, Lawrence Silas.
