Hi Vishi,

I thought this looked like your Olaus - http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/person.aspx?pid=-2019852916&tid=870921

Olaus' immigration years seem to be different on the different censuses. I am not familiar with this particular part of Norway. If you want to *try* the lead from that Nordre Land info on that tree, you can try posting on the Oppland board and see if there are researchers that are famiiar with what's available for that specific area.

The parish records sometimes overlap or blend into other parishes or subparishes. When I looked at the records available from the LDS for that area, it looked like the Digital Archive didn't have everything. DA has only been putting these scans of films on the internet for a short time and they are far from complete.

You can try posting on the different counties in North Dakota where your family lived and there might be some volunteers who know the area or have early records.

Best of luck,
Stephanie
