Dear Stephanie, just by chance yesterday I found the website you sent me today. I searched on it for a while (especially the 1875 census) and found 150 persons, first name Olaf, in the census, living in Oppland in 1875. However, I dont speak Norwegian so I was having real trouble navigating around the website. Also, I found some parish records for Oppland but they began in 1882.Olaf went to Amercia in 1883 so I am hoping there will be some sort of emmigration record.Grandma has told me that her Lund family were Lutherans so I am going to try and find some old Lutherran churches in the North Dakota counties they lived in and see what I can find there...too bad I dont live anywhere near North Dakota then I could do an in person search. I have ancestry.com, I looked there already but maybe I missed him in a tree, so I will look again. Thanks so much for your help and advice.
