My great grandfather Christian L. Lund(1847-1917) came from Denmark in 1880 with his wife, Karen, and 2 children. They settled in Butler Co, Iowa. Christian's daughter (my grandmother), Fredrikka, was married (also to a Lund) in St. Angars, Iowa in 1901. In addition, Christian and Karen Lund sent their youngest daughter, Herlig, to school in St. Angars. I feel there is some familial connection to St. Angars. I know it might not be Lund, but this is all I have.

Now, my puzzle. The only Lunds I found in St. Angars begin with Andrew (ca1850-1937). He immigrated from Denmark about 1870. He had 2 sons, Adolph Kristofer(1877-1911) and John Peter(1875-1953), according to census listings. Could Andrew be a brother (or cousin)to your Alfred? If so, do you have any information connecting this family with Christian L. Lund? Or perhaps with Niels P. Lund (1870-1920), my grandfather, who immigrated in 1891?

Thanks, Nancy Lund Williams
