I'm trying to find some info on the Luke's of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Joseph Luke B. Apr 19, 1870 (M. Elizabeth Rice). He is the son of Theodore Luke (M. Jane [or Jeane] McDonald).

From what I've been told through family history, Theodore Luke was originally Theodore O'Connor from Ireland. He was an Irish Pirate and was able to escape a 2nd time from the British after being recaptured after escaping and being beaten w/ a cat of Nine's Tails. He had to change his name from O'Connor to Luke after consulting a Catholic Priest.

I'm trying to find some info on his mother/father and where in Ireland that I could find information?
