Luke/Look surnames in Western New York circa 1830-1840

Hello fellow researchers, Wanted to remind you that when researching for your LUKE ancestors, please keep in mind that there are variations of the surname you are seeking. Never dismiss them especially if the family lived in or near the place where your family settled. While researching for my LOOK ancestors in Western New York, I chanced upon a census where my great-great-great grandfather William LOOK was listed as William LUKE. I have not as of yet been able to determine his ancestry or the reason for the change, but I have expanded my research in that area to include the LUKE variant.

If anyone has found any LOOK family members while researching their LUKE roots, please let me know on this form. I am especially interested in the New York counties of Livingston, Genesee, and Erie.
