George Alfred Lacy(b 1843,m Mary E Jesse)He was a son of
Helon Lacy & wife Sally Gibson(She was a daughter of Job Gibson & his wife Lydia Young)of Adair co. Ky. Helon Lacy was a son of Henry Lacy (b 1784-90) in Va or Ireland & wife Susanah Will(Wills). Henry had at least two brothers, John and another one unknown. They all immigrated to Virginia from Ireland. Hibernia is the name the Romans gave Ireland during their stay in the British Isles. Henry Lacy removed from Va to Ky. The other brothers stayed in Virginia. Henry married second to Nancy Berry Mosby(11-21-1844) She was a widow with three children: Elisha, Margaret & James. A lot of this information came from the reseach of Hubert W Lacey, whose reseach covered over 40 years until his demise in the late 1960s.
