Gen. Edward and Reuben Lacey Information

Has anyone see the information written by Michael Scoggin from the Draper Manscripts. There are a series of articles on individuals connected with the Rev War in the South Carolina area.
One article of interest states that Reuben Lacey was practially blind. If this were true then his service in the miltary was limited.
Also there is a interesting story on Jane Harper Lacey and the fact that her "milchcows" were stolen during the war and later returned. From this article it indicates that she also had a outgoing personality. She is described as a "spirited old Whig lady".

I wish we knew more of Jane Harper's background.
