Is anyone aware of a primary source that would show Thomas Kirtley was married to Judith Callaway (daughter of Francis Callaway)? Thomas Kirtley's will (dated 1798, proved 1799) says that his wife's name is Dorothy. Many secondary sources mention that he was previously married to Judith Callaway, but no primary source is given.
I see that Thomas Kirtley's son Thomas was married to Judith Lewis. (He died ca. 1818 and she died ca. 1820, probably in Green County, Kentucky.) Is there any chance that this marriage of a Thomas Kirtley to a Judith was somehow confused with the father?
Does the will of Francis Callaway exist and does it mention a daughter Judith Callaway?
