Augustus Kellogg KELLOGG, AUGUSTUS 90, of Redstone Highlands, Murrysville died March 10, 2008 after a long and full life. He was born August 9th, 1917 in Delaware New Jersey. He was a graduate of Lafayette College then married Mary Jane Shull followed by serving proudly in WWII as a Naval Lieutenant. He went to work for Travelers Insurance located in Hartford Connecticut then returned to Pittsburgh to raise his family. He founded the Craft, Kellogg & Patterson Inc. Insurance Agency and was continued on in the family by his son, James Kellogg. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Wise and husband, Bud of Forest Hills; son, James Kellogg of Murrysville, his two sisters, Mary Downs of Altamonte Springs, Florida and Clara Baldauf of Mechanicsburg, PA; additionally two grandchildren, Sara Haynes and Wesley Wise and was blessed with six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca H. Hardy. He passed away peacefully in his sleep and is now in the glorious presence of God and his lord and savior Jesus Christ. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Murrysville Alliance Church, 4130 Old Wm. Penn Hwy. P.O. Box 222, Murrysville, PA 15668.
