The Kellogg genealogy by Timothy Hopkins(I think it is) indicates that Thomas Kellogg married Elizabeth Woodward. Elizabeth Woodward being the wife of Stephen Lee. This Stephen Lee is supposedly the son of John Lee. Stephen Lee is shown as having two wives. 1st. Elizabeth Royce 2nd Elizabeth Woodward on many genealogy sites. However, I cannot see how this happened. Birth, Marriages and Deaths at Westfield shows that Stephen Lee married Elizabeth Woodward in 1691. Two children, Thomas(1692)and Samuel(1695) are shown as being born in Westfield. Around the same time a Stephen Lee, s/o John, married an Elizabeth Royce in 1690. The family settle in New Britian, CT. where some of their children were born, then later removed to Farmington, CT. This Elizabeth Royce Lee died in 1753. It is clear to me there is a disconnect somewhere. Any suggestions, insights or clarification would be most greatfully appreciated. I cannot see how Stephen Lee can be said to have married both and had children at the same time with both of them. Susan Notify Administrator about this message?
