Thank you Larry - You have some very solid information on these Keiths and Allens. That property on Gabriels Creek is now in present day Madison County and is still owned by one of John Allen's descendants.
The William Keith b 1761 Franklin Co VA interest me in that he married an Allen from Wayne Co KY as well as his son John. I'll have to do some digging on those two to see whose line of Allens they may belong to.
One of these Keith's has a daughter Nancy who was born about 1786 and I suspect that she married William Allen, son of John ca 1761 (Sarah Allen's father). I have long suspected Cornelius, just because he spent more time in South Carolina. The mortality schedule on Nancy's death listed her as being born in SC. Of course, nothing else to substantiate that.
Where can I find an accurate account of Cornelius Keith's offspring? There are 2 lines that claim their Nancy married Isaac Rice, I believe - but one of them has to be wrong!
