Wow! It is nice to meet someone else who is connected to the Keith family. I am technically a Keith myself, though my grandfather was adopted by his stepfather when he was a teenager.

The only ancestor we have found a lot on is William J Keith from Griffin, GA though we aren't sure where his wife Shumate is from. I know now that he definitely supported the Confederate side.

I will write down the information you sent. It was very helpful! I was trying to piece together William J's siblings! Thank you!

Here is my line:
1. William J. Keith (picture) 1811-1874 m. Martha Shumate and Julia Winn
2. William J. Keith (from Shumate) 1836 m. Elizabeth McLin (little info)
3. Charles McLin Keith 1866-1931 (have a picture)m. Mary Patrick (no picture)
4. Julian McLin Keith 1897 (death unknown) (name from Julia Winn and Elizabeth McLin)m. Ruth Hester Fowler divorced
5. Charles Henry Keith 1920-2005 named for his grandfathers later changed to Charles Henry Lee married Frances Tucker (1920-2008)
6. Charles Lee Jr. married Patti Etheridge
7. Amber, me!
