I have two sources of Revolutionary War Service for William Keith:
"Virginians In the Revolution" lests;
1. "Keith, William, Capt. Thomas Gaddis' Mil. (page 435)
(Additionally for continuity)
2. "Gaddis, Thomas, Captian, in command of Monogalia Milita at Fort Liberty (ed also known as Ft. Gaddis, PA)from Sept 9, 1776 to January 1, 1777; was Colonel of Monongalia Militia in an expedition against Indians west of the Ohio which lasted three months. (page 293)
3. "Harnet, Jonathan,Capt Thomas Gaddis' Co." (page 350)
Note: Jonathan Harnet was William Keith's brother Alexander's brother-in law.

"Genealogies of Kentucky Families A-M
"Jonathan Harned served in the Revolution under Thomas Gaddis, Virginia Malita at Fort Liberty, from Sept. 9, 1776 to Jan 1777, being in service 115 days. (William Keith brother of the above Alexander Keith was in the same Company.)"
