Is anyone else researching this line still? I have connected them in with some of my family, this is what I have. 1850---a Polly Keath b. 1812 lives in Jackson Co, TN. She is a widow living with her three children Paralee b 1838 Serena b 1840-1844 Erskin b 1848 Somewhere I found that Mary Polly was married to an Isiah Keath who died in 1849, cannot remeber where Serena (Cyrena, Surrena, etc) stays in Jackson with her mom and all these kids start popping up. One is named Mary Ella Keith b 28 Oct 1863 or 1868. This Mary Ella is an interesting one. My interest in Mary Ella lies with her daughter "Johnnie L.". On the 1900, the little girl is listed as Lettie, it is only in 1910 that she appears as Johnnie L. It is only in 1920 when both Lettie and Mary Ella marry that they leave Jackson and move to White Co. A previous poster listed that Mary Ella had two illegitimate children who were dark complected and eventually married a Holmes. I have found Cyrena, Mary Ella, and all the kids on every census except 1880. Another Keith family sorta fits but not sure. BUT here's where it gets interesting, the LDS lists Mary Ella as marrying first a John Givens then the James Holmes. In 1900 Mary Ella and her three kids live several doors down from a recently married John Givens. I have found no marriage or divorce records to support the LDS claim. What I am trying to figure out from all this is 1. Is the Polly and Evaline on the 1880 census them 2. If so, where did Cyrena's daughter Martha go 3. Who was Isiah's (Isaiah) family 4. Are there any boys named Robert within this line 5. Are their any Scott's (surname)in this line Thanks! Notify Administrator about this message?
