Dear All,
Am trying to gather more information on my Keith line (obviously).
I have confirmed on the Madison Co, IL 1880 census my following relatives. I was wondering/hoping if any one had more details on this William and Maggie. They were both born in SCOTLAND and must have emigrated prior to the birth of their first son Harry who was born in 1873 - ish.
William Keith b. ca 1850 SCOTLAND
Maggie Keith b. ca 1852 SCOTLAND
children:
Harry W. Keith b. ca 1873 Alton, Madison Co, IL. Resided in Peoria with his wife Irene Z.
William (Willie) Keith b. Alton, Madison Co, IL
Ida Keith b. ca 1878 Alton, Madison Co., IL, married into the Seiberling family - she is my link to the Keith clan
Lillie Keith b. ca 1880 Alton, Madison Co,, IL
They seemed to be wealthy enough to have 2 female servants or lodgers in their residence at that time.
