Hi. I have been searching these 2 lines for a long time and am getting nowhere. Fannie's death cert. lists her father as Stephen Merrill(searched Merritt too)(no mother listed)and her birthplace as Lake Erie lakeshore New York probably 1824 but possibly much earlier. Her last name at marriage to John J. was Wright--a previous marriage? John J. said he was from England born 1820. Their children were: my great grandmother Mary Jane b. 1844 in Pennsylvania, Charles,and all succeeding children born in Michigan, John E.,twin to Jackson E., Martin W., Milton D., Jefferson D.,and Julia. John J. died Oct 1881 Newago Co. Mi. and Fannie died Apr. 1923, Kalamazoo, Mi. Many of the children's names are similar to other Hunter families but haven't been able to connect them. If her father was Stephen they didn't name a son after him. If anyone thinks any of this sounds like their Hunters, please help. Feel free to email me. Thank you.
