I am seeking information regarding Violet Hill Hunter born in 1884 in Derby, England to Reverend Henry Charles F Hunter and Charlotte Ada (Hill). She was raised in Paignon, Devon before moving to London living with her mother in St Pancras in 1891. Her father may have died by this time.
She served in WW1 with MI5 and during WW2 with the Women's Auxillary Air Force/ Special Operations Executive being mentioned in Despatches.
She was betrothed to be married in 1919 to Captain Orlando F M Ward M.C. but this may not have occurred as I have not yet found the marriage and she joined up in 1939 as miss.
Her brother was Brigadier Henry Noel Alexander Hunter D.S.O. 1881-1964.
I do not know when or where she died.
