I am looking for any and all information anyone would have on the following:
HUNTER, ANDREW / TRAIN (or TRANE), HELEN (HELLEN or ELLEN)
Andrew Hunter was a scion of the ancient and noble House and Family of Hunter of Hunterston and of that Ilk, Chiefs of Clan Hunter. His wife was Helen (Hellen or Ellen) Train (or Trane). This couple begat at least the following issue: (1) John Hunter, who married 6 May 1763 at Sorn, Sorn Parish, Kyle District, Ayr County, Scotland, Margaret Patrick; (2) Andrew Hunter, who married Elizabeth (or Elisabeth) Sherrylan (Sherryland, Sherriland, Sherrilan, Sherrilaw or Sherrylaw); (3) Christian (Christiana, Christina or Christena) Hunter, who married 25 April 1757 at Sorn, Sorn Parish, Kyle District, Ayr County, Scotland, James Wallace; (4) William Hunter, born in 1756 probably at Mains of Auchmannoch, Sorn Parish, Kyle District, Ayr County, Scotland, christened 9 May 1756 at Sorn Parish, Kyle District, Ayr County, Scotland, who married 5 July 1782 at Sorn, Sorn Parish, Kyle District, Ayr County, Scotland, Jean (or Jane) Cameron.
I am stuck at Andrew Hunter and cannot follow my lineage back farther than him.
