John Alden Hopkins was born in 1924. He was adopted into a Hopkins home. He married my grandmother, Helen Shirley (Jacobson)Hopkins. He was a firefighter for Boston and died in the line of duty in 1972. He was married before my grandmother and had 4 children, I believe.
