My gr-grandmother Elizabeth Hibbs b. 11/11/1860 in Guernsey County, Ohio died 4/5/1943 in Freeport, Harrison County, Ohio was married to James Clifford Jones of Harrison County, Ohio. both families according to my mother, were Quakers. Elizabeth is reportedly buried on the "Chaney" lot in the cemetery in Freeport, though I don't know who the Chaney's are/were. I have many photos of the Hibbs and Jones from this period.
MY PROBLEM: my records have Elizabeth as the daughter of Stephen Hibbs born 1825 in Ohio and married to Hannah Anne Hollett of same. married 1851 in Harrison County, Ohio. Children: Elizabeth, Dorothy, Mifflin, Mary Emma, John Erwin, Ellsworth, and William Clarence. All info that i find here says that Stephen married someone else. I would doubt my infor except that i have photos of them all.
Who is this Stephen???
My paternal grandmother was Ina Mae Jones, who married Harvey Andrews. Ina was also a Quaker and born in Harrison County, Ohio.
can anyone clarify this???
