Thank you for your reply. It has been a huge help. I had thought that the Marion Co. Hibbs would connect to the earlier Hibbs from Bucks Co. PA.
According to what have found on the Bucks Co. Hibbs (from secondary sources not yet verified) the Joseph Hibbs 1734/35-1796 is a descendant of:
Joseph Hibbs 1688-1762 and Rachel Waring 1692-1748
William Hibbs 1665-1710/11 and Hannah Howell ca1666-ca 1737
came to U.S. 1676 on ship "Kent"
William Hibbs 1630-1686 and Joanne
William may have been executed 6Mar/May 1686 by authority of JamesII (some files I saw show this others don't)
I don't know what you may haveon the people mentioned above, but I got alot of my info from an Adobe Acrobat Reader file, www.ldpierce.com/pdfiles/Hibbs%201-5.pdf
