Not my family line, just sharing.

The following Biographical sketch was copied from the book "HISTORY AND BIOGRAPHY COUNTIES OF WHITE AND PULASKI, INDIANA. Historical and Biographical. Illustrated. Chicago; F.A. Battey & Co., Publishers. 1883.
page 764, Cass Township, Pulaski County, Indiana.

"ISAAC HARDESTY was born in Fountain County, Indiana, in 1832, and is the eldest of five children of CALEB and MARIA (HIBBS) HARDESTY, who were born in Ohio and Kentucky respectively. The father died near Medarysville, Indiana; the mother survives at the age of seventy. ISAAC HARDESTY was married in Clinton County, Indiana, to Miss CYNTHIA A. HARDESTY, daughter of JOSEPH and MARY A. HARDESTY. To this union have been born five children - ALFRED R., DELILAH J., JOSEPH R., MARY T. and MARIA R. Mr. and Mrs. HARDESTY began housekeeping on rented land in Boone County, Indiana, two years later, Mr. HARDESTY was assisted in the purchase of forty acres by his father-in-law; this land he exchanged for sixty-five acres, on which he lived about a year, then sold, and came to this township; he purchased eight-four acres - forty in Jasper County, and forty-four here - partially improved. This farm he has increased to 124 acres, eighty of which are under cultivation. Mr. and Mrs. HARDESTY are members of the Christian Church, of which Mr.HARDESTY has been a Deacon fourteen years."
