The Hibbs book I have that was published on Sept. 1, 1933 does not contain the Marcelus Name. It could be that the name is not that old. The latest date I find is around 1930. If you can get more info on your Grandfathers parents we might be able to tie it to our Family from the Mitchellville area. I am presently in the Oregon Area. My Grandfather homesteaded in the Greenleaf Idaho Area. I have the background on Stephen Franklin Hibbs side of the family. Would be glad to share any or all the information I have.
