I am researching a soldier who enlisted in the 26th Arkansas Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He is:

Newton J. Hibbs Co. H Pvt/Pvt
Enlisted 5 Aug 1862 at Camp Crystal Hill, Faulkner County, Arkansas. Absent sick 22 Aug
1862. Absent sick at home from 4 Jun 1863. Enlisted 26 Oct 1861 at Fayetteville, Washington
County, Arkansas in Company B, 16th Arkansas Infantry Regiment--Left sick in Arkansas 17
Mar 1862. Later enlisted 10 Oct 1863 in Company B, 4th Arkansas Cavalry Regiment
(Union). Age at enlistment: 34. Born in Hamilton County, Tennessee.

I have no genealogical connection to this man but am writing a book on his regiment. Any help in learning his dates/places of birth, death, and burial would be greatly appreciated.
