Am looking for information on Capt Wm Hewitt/Hewett of Jamica who was member of Stede Bonnet's pirate crew (who later joined up with Blackbeard). Hewett/Hewitt hanged Nov 1718 at Charleston, and may have had plantation on Cooper River nearby.
Jamaica 1670 Census indicates JOHN HEWITT with 800 acres. Could William be his son or grandson?
