Found Joel in a book called Index to U.S. Invalid Pension Records 1801-1815. He is listed as a Private and a remark says: dead, last payment Mar. 4, 1813. Have sent for his pension record twice with no luck. This index refers to a page 81. I didn't see any accompanying book. Is anyone familiar with this index or does anyone know the parents of Joel? Thanks.
