Notices From New Jersey Newspapers, 1781-1790, Vol 1 by Thomas B. Wilson lists Paul Hartyoung and a land owner in Sussex County, New Jersey in 1782 and 1783, pages 39 and 130. If you look at a map, Sussex Co NJ is almost due north of Philadelphia and I believe it to be a movement pattern of immigrants who landed at Philadelphia. I would be interested in any connection between this Paul/Paulus Hartung/Hartyoung and Henry Hartung born in 1781 and bought land in Sussex County NJ in 1801. marjiann@wcrtc.net
