I have a little more information on my gg grandmother, Emma Friederica Hardtung. I received a copy of her death certificate, stating that her father's name as Theodore Hardtung. On her son's baptismal certificate, it states that either she is from, or was born in Nordhausen, Prussia, Germany. She immigrated to the US possibly around 1852. Her son, Emil, my great grandfather, was born in East Birmingham, Pittsburgh (South Side)in 1864. If anyone has ancestors in this area at this time, or has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
She later married her son's father-in-law (Johann Heinrich Christian Mueller) after her first husband's death(Frederick Wilhelm Wecker). She died in Dubois, Clearfield County, PA in 1929, at the age of 87.
