I am seeking assistance from those of you who are descendants of Hannah Bell and Elijah Harbour.
Hannah appears to have had only one sibling, James Bell. So those of us who are descendants of Samuel and Sarah Bell of Washington County Virginia through these two siblings have a very limited number of family history variations. One difference I am attempting to source is the potential origins of Native American ancestry in one of James Bell's lines.
One of my Bell cousins sent me a picture of her great grandmother, Louisa. She was the granddaughter of James Bell and is undoubtably Native American. I also have pictures of several of Louisa's nieces on the Bell side and they too are Naive American. The question is who was the source of this ancestry.
All of the individuals I mentioned above were descendants of Elisha and Martha Burge Bell. My assumption has been all along that the NA line was exculsively through Martha Burge. This is where you come in. Does anyone on the Harbour side have any family history that would suggest that there was Native American lineage in their family? Again, I am only interested in hearing from those of you descended through Elijah and Hannah Bell Harbour. Thank you in advance for your help.
