1. Sidney Wellington5 HARBER (Thomas Pendleton4 HARBOUR, Noah3, Talmon2, Thomas1) was born September 28, 1817 in Red House, Madison Co. KY, and died October 01, 1892 in Gerrard Co. KY. He married Eliza Jane RILEY September 27, 1836 in Madison Co. KY1, daughter of William RILEY and Sarah FOWLER. She was born October 06, 1818, and died December 22, 1896 in Gerrard Co. KY.
Notes for Sidney Wellington HARBER:
*He spent his early life in Madison Co. and spent some years in a boarding school in Lexington, KY.
*He was a farmer and a Doctor of Medicine, He was a lover of fine horses and showed them at county fairs throughout KY. (Source: Book:" Harbours in America" by Louis J. Williams]
*According to his son Thomas William, he did not do much farming himself, leaving this chore to his sons and slaves.
*He was in the 1860 Washington Co. Census, age 42, Farmer, Real Estate $13,000, Personal $7,065. He was obviously very successful. He was a slave owner.
*He is in the 1870 Washington Co., KY Census as a Farmer and MD. He is 53, she is 42, Thomas 30 and Sidney 20
*He is in the1880 Springfield, Washington Co. KY Census as a farmer, age 63 with wife Eliza J.

*He spelled his name Harbour at the time of his marriage. He later changed the spelling to Harber as did his brothers

6 v. Sidney Wellington HARBER, Jr., born March 10, 1850. He married Elizabeth A. MILLER November 03, 1887 in Garrard Co., KY3.

*He is in the 1900 Clay Co. TX census age 50, she is 42, and their children Mary E., Stella O. Herbert, Ouie E., Elizabeth E, Willis S., and Irma B. He is also in the 1910 Clay Co. census age 60 and she is 52.
