Harbour/Herbert

I've read before that the Harbour family (beginning with Thomas Harbour as far as anyone knows) is linked at some point, or is a branch of the Herbert family in England and Wales. The Herbert family controlled Raglan castle at one point and contains the Earls of Pembroke up to modern times, but I haven't been able to find any definite evidence that the Harbour family is in fact tied in. An interesting note is that there was a Thomas Herbert, 8th Earl of Pembroke, at about the same time that Thomas Harbour was alive here in the british colonies in America.(mid to late 1600s through mid 1700s) However, it is unlikely that they're the same person. If anyone has any solid evidence of the link to the Herberts, or any family back in England/Wales, please e-mail me at NobleHam@attbi.com.

Thanks,
Seth Harbour
