My great grandmother on my mother's side was a Mary Calvert, born in Blount Count in 1837. Her father is being shown in my research as a James P. Calvert and his wife is listed as Albitha Hamaker. On a recent visit to the Hays Cemetery in Hayden, Blount County, Alabama. I found a gravestone for James Calvert (16 Apr 1810 - 22 Nov 1859) and his wife is listed as Alby (12 Aug 1816 -5 May 1866). I find this coincidence to be more than curious. Alby could certainly be Albitha. I am currently researching a John Hamaker who married Elizabeth Spears.
