I'm just about ready to spit. I had found several census that looked like they could belong to your family, and when I went to post it I got the message "server not found"!! And now I don't have time to find them again.
Any way, there is a Kirby family with Hams living with them on the 1900 Harris Tx census; S J Kirby (male) who probaby is Seaborn Jeff Kirby and his sister Susie married to a Mattison Ham with a dau Mary L, born 1899. There is a brother John J Kirby in family; The Hams are indexed as Hane (I think)

It looks like Seaborn's family is in Montgomery Cty Texas in 1880. His mother may be the M J Kirby, wife of J J Kirby in J J's father's household.
