They where wealthy clothiers. Thomas Guyon (died 1660) lived outside of Coggeshall but is buried in St Peters Church as is his son Sir Mark. I have a copy of the family crest and have seen another sons will in the Essex Record Office. I have the Victorian History of Coggeshal which is quite detailed.
