I am searching for a death record/obit for: Gamaliel Reynolds GROVER who was alive on 21 May 1897; he was a watchmaker in Rock Island City. I have tried to search the online Illinois death records but they seem to skip a few years and do not pick up again until 1916. Too late - he was born about 1806/7 in Pennsylvania. What I am hoping to find is some mention of him possibly becoming a Mormon - someone recently asked me about this and I have nothing to show that any of my Grovers became Mormons, but then- what do I know? I was not there...He had 3 wives, by the way: Polly, Theresa and Nancy. Thank you for any help you can give...
