Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of James K. Grover, who served as a private in Company C of the 58th Illinois Infantry during the Civil War. Towards the end of the war he became a hospital steward. At his enlistment, he resided in Shabbona Illinois. Born in 1842, he married in 1863 and died in 1918 in Brown County.
