gregory, william h. (subject) of chestnut hill, monroe co. from a line of ancestors he has inherited traits which his forefathers were influential in shaping the destinies of this region. he was born in polk twp. nov. 8, 1862, s/o nathan and catharine (hawk) gregory.
nathan gregory was born in 1843, twice married, by his 1st wf. catharine, who died in 1877, he had children; mary e., wf of dr. allen gerhardt, of allentown, william h., subject, emma e., wf of edwin bonsor of pittston, george of polk twp, married lizzie bonsor. for his 2nd wf he married christina eckhardt, and they had children; edwin, amanda e., herbert, carrie, minnie and nathan.
william h., married sept. 29, 1885 in chestnut hill to emma l. kresge. children; john a., and howard e.
mrs. gregory was the d/o timothy kresge of chestnut hill. members of the reformed ch.
flyte, theodore, was born in ross twp. march 13, 1846, s/o barnett and catharine (queenswite) flyte of ross.
theodore flyte married ella kresge, nov. 1897 at pleasant vally, ross twp. she was born at gilbert, nov. 19, 1856, d/o james and nellie (gregory) kresge, and granddau of george and caharine (serfass) kresge and also the granddau. of david and catharine gregory, natives of lehigh and monroe cos.
