Thanks to This Great Forum my siblings were able to find their father's family members via Mary Ellen and Anthony Giamas. I must continue my search for my father, Louis Ellis Poulos (Elias P. Eliopoulos) who came to the U.S. from Toporista, Greece around 1917 give or take a few years. He was born in 1903 and lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa late 1917's to early 1920's; moved to Chicago, Ill. during the late 1920's to early 1930's (working as a chef in a hotel restaurant owned by Al Capone); moved to Lincoln, Ne., where he (he was married to a Lucille we believe) operated (and was the chef) the Bluebird Cafe on "P" St. during the late 30's until 1942 when he went into the Army. He returned to Co. Bluffs, after the war got a divorce and married my mom, Eleanor Thompson Giamas in 1945. HE remained in Council Bluffs, Ia until his death. He was an executive chef throughout his adult lifetime. We are trying to find info. on any family members, living or dead, in the USA or in Greece. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
