In my search for the family of Gaylord Carroll GIBSON, born 10 Sept 1876, Remmington, Jasper County, Indiana I found his father to be James Gibson born 1845 in Illinois, father James Gibson, born Scotland. I found who I believe to be the younger James on a 1850 census in Marshall County, Illinois.

Aaron Marvin 15 M Farmer Illinois
Lynda Marvin 12 F Illinois
Isabella Gibson 8 F Illinois

Samuel Gaylord 86 M Conn
Would I be right in thinking the Samuel Gaylord should be Lemuel and Lucy his daughter? I would think that Aaron and Lynda Marvin would be a child from Lucy's first marriage.
Does anyone know this particular family?
