Dear Jim,

It looks like most of the information that I have is on Wilbur H. Gaylord, nothing on Mary Adelia. An interesting thing is that in the 1850 Census Wilbur is living with the Goodrich family which has an Adelia in it. Maybe your Mary was named for her?

I have two Eva Gaylords in my family, but they were born in 1846 and 1865.

I found a listing for an Eldora M. Gaylord in the Cuyahoga County Marriage License Application Index. The man's name is James D. Girdner. A copy could be requested from the Cuyahoga County Archives. The reference is Volume #27, Page #107.

There were 2 Mary Gaylord marriage application listings: Mary F. Gaylord to Paul R. Henry and Mary S. Gaylord to Perdy W. Cobb. Let me know if you want the references.

Sorry, I couldn't make any real matches except for Wilbur. My information is for Cuyahoga county only and I couldn't make any other matches to your information and dates. I grew up in Lake County, but my family is from Cuyahoga County.

By the way, Don Diminie's Our Families web site has a new permanent address at: http://genweb.net/~famfound/index.html

I hope that something in here helps. Good luck and let me know if you have more Gaylord connections that lead to Cleveland. I'll see what I can do.

Sincerely,
Janet
