Hi,

Hoping someone can help me find the parents of Jean-Baptiste GAREAU who married Françoise Bénac on 24 Aug. 1807 at St-Joseph de Chambly. They had a daughter Victoire born 15 August 1827.

The Repertoire of St-Joseph-de-Chambly gives his parents as Jean-Baptiste & Angélique Palleton, but no such marriage appears in the on-line PRDH. Apparently there is a transcription error in the marriage repertoire.

All help will be appreciated to figure out who the parents of J.B. were.
