Why did my great grandfather leave Webster County, Missouri during the War Between the States when his son and my grandfather was a volunteer in the calvary for the Confederate states? Why did Bazil Davis Freeman go to Shelby County, Illinois? Was he related to this Freeman family? We have recently learned that our Freeman line is Native American -- Haplogroup “Q1a3a”. Have any male descendant of the James/Mathew Freeman line submitted their DNA for testing and if so, what were the results.
