In the Freeman Genealogy, Jeduthan b. 1773 born Mansfield,CT, moved to Ohio and married there.

His parents, Moody and Kezia moved from Mansfield to Clarkson, NY- his mother died there in 1810 and his father in 1828.

In the book: County and Family Histories of Ohio 1780-1970, it states that Jeduthan Freeman and his family arrived in Cuyahoga between 1818/1819.

In the 1820 census of Cuyahoga Jeduathan "Furman" is listed with 5 boys; one under 10; 2 between 10 to under 16,and 2 over 16 but under 26, and 2 daughters- one under 10 and one between 16 and under 26. No wife is listed with the family. Jeduthan is listed as over 45.

So the connection that is missing is who did Jeduthan marry to produce these children? Probably married in NY as his parents were there, and it appears that J. Russell was born there in 1814
Jeduthan married Lucy in 1826, so she was not the mother here.

The name Russell plays a part here too.
Russell Freeman was Moody's older brother. He was stabbed to death in Hanover, NH in 1805, by a " monster in human shape bearing the name of Josiah Burnham."(quote from the Genealogy)

Russell's widow, Abia (Durkee) Freeman later married Moody Freeman, after Kezia died.

In 1850 census, Jeduthan, age 76 born CT is living with, I presume his son, Jeduthan age 50 b. NY and his family in Chagrin Falls.

It appears he had died before 1860, as he is not found in that census.
