George DOW, b 17th May 1861 Scotland.

I am looking for information and descendants of "George DOW", born 17th May 1861 in Parish of Inveresk, Musselburgh, to the east of Edinburgh Scotland.

Recorded as a "Baker" living in parents' Edinburgh Home in 1881 UK Census.

Emigrated to USA after 1881, probably before 1900, definitely before 1914.

Father - Alexander Lockhart Simpson Dow
Mother - Barbara Young (died before 1881, father re-married)

Legend is that he married a "Chicago heiress", had a son also called George. The son may have played musical instrument and/or sung in New York night clubs; and may have visited Edinburgh in early 1900's.

Son's wife may have visted Edinburgh about 1929 with one or more daughters. One daughter may have been an actress.
