St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, 21 September 1916:
While Mr.a nd Mrs. A.R. Dow of Geneva were enjoying an automobile ride to Elgin with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight C. Chamberlain, sneak thieves forced entrance to their home Sunday afternoon and stole $250 worth of jewelry. Entrance was gained thru a window.
