I am a direct decendent of Joseph and Jane Doan from Coventry, thus I am also a direct descendent from Joseph Rogers and Thomas Rogers from the "Mayflower". I can trace the Doan's Back to the "Truelove" but I have no idea who Jane is. The old records of Coventry church has no last name when she was baptized. There is no last name when she was burried. She was always listed as 'Jane wife of Joseph Doan'. They were married in Ellington, I believe because I have seen the records in Coventry and there is no marriage. The Doan's all moved to Ellington first before moving to Coventry. I do have some family legend about Jane and her son-in-law Malachi and my great grandmother Emma but will not believe it til I see proof. Does anyone have any proof of Jane's last name? Even records don't have one.
